Kurashi Dogu - Easy Card Management

Privacy Policy

pftFactory (the “Developer”) establishes this Privacy Policy to explain how information is handled in the Kurashi Dogu - Easy Card Management application (the “App”).

1. General Policy

Information entered by the user is generally stored only on the user’s device. The Developer does not transmit or collect this information through the App on servers managed by the Developer.

2. Information Stored on the Device

Depending on the features used, the App may store the following information on the user’s device:

Names, dates of birth, family timelines, and information used to create resume timelines
Credit card labels, management settings, budgets, payment amounts, and confirmed or unconfirmed status
Settings for card review reminders, memorial service reminders, and other notifications
Pro purchase status
Other information entered by the user in the App

Important: The App is not intended to store credit card numbers, security codes, bank account numbers, personal identification numbers, or similar sensitive payment credentials. Please do not enter such information in the App.

3. Purposes of Use

Information stored on the device is used within the App to provide the following features:

Japanese era and Gregorian calendar conversion, age calculations, and zodiac information
People management, family timelines, and resume timeline assistance
Management, calculation, and charting of budgets and payment amounts for each card
Creation of local notifications configured by the user
Backup, PDF export, document sharing, and other actions selected by the user

4. External Transmission and Disclosure to Third Parties

The Developer does not automatically transmit information entered in the App to servers operated by the Developer or third parties. The App does not use third-party SDKs for advertising, behavioral analytics, or tracking.

When the user chooses to use sharing, backup, PDF export, copying, file selection, or external-link features, information may be transferred to an app, service, storage location, or clipboard selected by the user. The subsequent handling of that information is governed by the privacy policy of the selected app or service.

5. Backup and Data Transfer

The App supports manual backups initiated by the user. Backup files are encrypted with a password and exported to a location selected by the user. The Developer does not obtain or store backup files or their passwords.

The user is responsible for safeguarding backup files and passwords. The Developer cannot restore a backup if its password is lost.

6. Notifications

The App uses iOS local notifications only when the user grants notification permission and enables a notification feature. Notifications may display information stored in the App, including names, card labels, dates, budgets, and payment amounts. Because this information may appear on the Lock Screen, users should also review their device notification-preview settings.

Notifications can be changed or disabled in the App or in the device’s Settings app.

7. In-App Purchases

The App uses Apple’s StoreKit for the Pro in-app purchase. Payment information is processed by Apple, and the Developer does not obtain credit card numbers or other payment credentials. The App reads purchase status provided by Apple only to determine whether Pro features are available.

8. Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking

The App does not display advertising and does not collect information for advertising, access analytics, behavioral analysis, or user tracking.

Depending on the user’s device settings, Apple may collect diagnostic or crash information from iOS. Apple handles such information according to its own privacy policy.

9. Retention and Deletion

Information entered in the App generally remains on the device until the user deletes it in the App or removes the App’s data from the device. Deleting the App deletes its data stored on that device. Backup files, PDFs, or information previously shared or separately saved must be deleted by the user from each destination where they were stored.

10. Information Provided When Contacting Us

If a user contacts the Developer by email, the Developer uses the sender’s email address, message, and any other information submitted to respond and provide necessary support. The Developer retains this information only for the period reasonably necessary for support and recordkeeping and deletes it appropriately after the purpose has been fulfilled, unless retention is required by law.

11. Security

The Developer takes reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized disclosure, loss, or damage of information handled by the App. Users should also protect their devices with appropriate security measures, such as a device passcode or biometric authentication, to reduce risks arising from loss or unauthorized access.

12. Changes to This Policy

The Developer may revise this Privacy Policy when necessary due to changes in the App, applicable laws, or other circumstances. Material changes will be announced in the App or on the webpage where this Policy is published. The revised Policy takes effect when it is published, unless another effective date is stated.
